Testing a new innovative collaboration: between Nørlum (Audio visual company based in Viborg), with The Animation Workshop, and Carte Blanche Regional Theatre, as well as CultAR research group Aalborg University (Culturally enhanced augmented realities) Dept. of Architecture, Design and Media Technology.

We have been researching multiple time and space perspectives: live, real-time animation improvisation in the context of actively engaging audience participation, through various approaches. Each partner, in their respective and different fields of expertise has had different things to offer – An interaction between technologies, performers, sound, reactive animation, and projections.

In practice, we have set up a ‘Laboratory’ which has been the meeting point for all partners and consultants. Sets, projectors, animation facilities and sensor technology were available to be used by members of this group and guests. We have conducted workshops which were open to general public as well as local businesses and especially invited guests from our respective international networks.
